About Us

Path of the Paddle is primarily a water trail through Northwestern Ontario, following the routes used for millennia by Indigenous Peoples.
 
From Thunder Bay (Ontario), the route follows a spectacularly scenic path along Lake Superior, Quetico Provincial Park, Eagle Lake, Lake of the Woods, ending at Whiteshell Provincial Park.

Our Mission

To support the development, stewardship, and sustainability of the Path of the Paddle water trail network in Northwestern Ontario in partnership with regional stakeholders.

Our Mandate

To develop the route into a sustainable experiential tourism product representative of culture and history of the region.

How? Through cooperative marketing programs, initiative specific promotional products and diverse partnerships.

Get Involved

Path of the Paddle is a volunteer driven organization with Regional Trail Committees in Kenora, Dryden, Atikokan and Thunder Bay. We welcome volunteers with a passion for trail building, which takes all sorts of skill sets, including: trail clearing, marketing, networking, fundraising.
